Work Experience

One of the most important roles of any government organization is to communicate with its residents both when things are going well and in times of crisis. I have more than 20 years of communications experience, which has benefited the Township Committee in its efforts to effectively communicate with Chatham Township residents.




  • Church Pension Group - Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications for this organization that serves clergy and lay employees the Episcopal Church. 


  • CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) - Chief Spokesperson and Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications for this leading provider of financing and advisory services to small businesses and middle market companies.


  •  W. P. Carey (NYSE: WPC) - Chief Spokesperson and Director of Corporate Communications for this publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) that provides long-term sale-leaseback and build-to-suit financing for companies worldwide and manages an investment portfolio of more than $14 billion. 
  • Office of the Mayor, City of New York – First Deputy Press Secretary to Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Served as Spokesperson for the Mayor on economic development, finance and budget-related issues; debriefed the Mayor, Deputy Mayors and Commissioners prior to press conferences, and served as a liaison between public information officers of various City agencies and City Hall. Following September 11, 2001, I returned to assist the City Hall Press Office with press activities and coordinating dignitary visits to Ground Zero, Mayoral press conferences and media interviews.


  • Edelman Public Relations - Account Executive in the Financial Services Division at the world's largest public relations firm.


Community Service 

My interest in public service has been rooted in the fact that I have always taken an active role in volunteering and serving my community.





  • Chatham Education Foundation – Former Communications Chair of this leading provider of private funding to the School District of the Chathams.


  • Delbarton Alumni Association – Former President and Board Member for 10 years. Efforts focused on encouraging Alumni to "Be a Part of It" and increasing Alumni participation in our annual giving campaign and related Alumni activities.


  • Summit Elks - Member and volunteer at our annual Holiday party at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Lyons. 


  • Chatham Recreation - Former youth soccer coach.


  • Corpus Christi – Catechist, taught high school students preparing for their Confirmation.


  • Chatham Township Zoning Board of Adjustment – Former Board Member.


My Family

I was born and raised in New Jersey and grew up in New Vernon. I have lived in Chatham Township for more than a decade with my wife Jen of 17 years where we have raised our three children Will, Mollie and Grace, who attend Chatham's award-winnng and nationally recognized public schools.
